Stack & Search: How I Actually Find Cards Worth Buying

Every week in this newsletter, I give out 2-4 real card targets that I’ve either recently bought or I’m actively keeping an eye on.

But there’s a caveat to this:

It’s almost never as simple as “here’s a card, go buy it!”

What happens is you’ll go on eBay, and find that all the cards listed are $100 higher than comps… or there aren’t any at all! Or, if you want to buy a raw one to grade, the ones listed all have terrible pictures or have dinged corners.

I have this problem every day…

I find a player I want to invest in. I look up cards that I think are undervalued and/or are great grading candidates. The math works.

But then I can’t find it on eBay!

Here’s my response to that:

If it were that easy to find cards to flip, everyone would do it!

There’s profit in this precisely because it’s not easy to do. It is easy to get discouraged and give up when the first 15 listings you look at don’t yield a buyable card.

But…

I still buy cards every single week. Tons of people do. So what do we do differently?

Well, let’s dive into my process for finding cards each week to buy:
